Nino Panzarella: American Plumber Stories

Read his American Plumber story!

How did you get started in the plumbing trade?

I started out in the early 90’s in NY as a Plumbers Helper. I always enjoyed working with my hands and working with tools. I'm like a kid in a toy store when it comes to buying and exploring new tools.

As a helper I learned the trade and I realized later I wanted to be the “Master Plumber”. I took the exam, passed it, got my journeymans, couple years later sat for my Masters, and passed it.

With the advice of my wife, Christina, who encouraged me to start Plumbers R Us, decided it was time for me to venture out on my own. I have been so grateful the past 4 years to see how far I, we have come.

What do you like most about your work as a plumber?

I enjoy seeing the smiles on my customers faces & the compliments I get when I have completed the work they trusted me to do, & reading their amazing reviews.

What advice do you have for the younger generation entering the plumbing trade?

Ask questions. Don't assume! Listen to the experienced plumbers that have the knowledge and know how. Learn the trade. Do as much as possible hands on training. Practice practice practice and never give up. It will all be worth it in the end.
