Broderick J. Smith: American Plumber Stories

How did you get started in the plumbing trade?
I was already working for Richland County as a part-time worker and I saw the opening and always interested in the plumbing trade. Always thought they were unique among the trades.
What do you like most about your work as a plumber?
What I like most about the trade is the problem solving the fact that I'm coming to figure out the problem and a lot of people don't understand, don't want to understand, they just want you to fix it I'm needed and I know what to do to get the problem solved.
What advice do you have for the younger generation entering the plumbing trade?
My biggest advice is just persevere it's going to be some rough days some days you want to quit just keep going at it.
