How did you get started in the plumbing trade?

I started off in the trucking industry got tired of it was never home to be with my family so I got the opportunity to start off as a apprentice for a plumbing company which I still work for today.  And that was one of the best choices I’ve made

What do you like most about your work as a plumber?

What I like about my job is that every day it’s a different challenge. Even though we deal with similar issues every day whether it’s repairing a Fossett, repairing a busted waterline and/or clearing a drain it’s always a different challenge and it’s not always the same. And I like that the company that I work for we do a little bit of everything new construction, remodels, and service. Every day I learn something new different how to execute better that’s why I love plumbing and just meeting new people and interacting and networking.

What advice do you have for the younger generation entering the plumbing trade?

Start young and get into the trades. Not just because I’m Plumber but I think plumbing itself is a sought out job that it is needed every day no matter what. Get a job at a plumbing company and start your apprenticeship.  Get your journeyman license and if you can take some kind of business class. So if you ever do on your own company you can handle the business side of your plumbing company.
